Fees and Payment Information
My services are private pay only. I do not accept insurance in my private practice and fees are due by credit card or HSA card at the time of the appointment. Payment is processed through a secure patient portal where you are also able to access invoices and other payment records.
While I don't accept insurance, many PPO insurance plans will cover a percentage of the cost of services and consider me an "out-of-network provider." I am happy to provide you with a receipt (called a "Superbill") each month that includes all of the information you need to submit a claim to your insurance company.
I cannot guarantee that services will be covered by your insurance or that a percentage of the cost will be reimbursed to you, as this varies from plan to plan. For more information about reimbursement rates, it is recommended that you directly contact your insurance provider. You can specifically ask your insurance company about reimbursement rate for the following CPT codes: 90791 (60 minute initial evaluation) and 90834 (45 minute therapy sessions) as those are the codes used most frequently in my office.
Due to the lack of mental health professionals who have expertise in providing evidence-based treatment for OCD and related disorders, you may be able to petition your insurance company to partially reimburse you for the cost you are paying in treatment.

Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges
Under the No Surprises Act
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You may also ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate prior to scheduling an item or service. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
