Patient Resources for OCD and Anxiety
Finding useful information about anxiety and OCD on the internet and through social media can be challenging to navigate. Therefore, I have compiled a list of trusted resources, all of which can be used in conjunction with treatment. The resources listed below are not a substitute for treatment.
Websites:
International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation (IOCDF) - This professional organization's site is one of my favorite resources for patients dealing with OCD and related disorders as well as their families. The site includes a "find a therapist" tab and guides you toward asking the right questions of your therapist to make sure they are solid OCD treatment providers!
Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) - This professional organization's website includes a "find a therapist" tab and has all the information you need to know about cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).
Anxiety and Depression Association of America - This professional organization's site includes a "find a therapist" resource as well as educational information about anxiety and related disorders.
